AND WHY I LOVE MY JOB
Ever since I was a kid I loved astronomy. Now you might wonder, "well then why isn't he an astronomy tutor?" Well as I went to college I learned that I didn't just love astronomy but I was fascinated by all science. From how hemoglobin bound oxygen to how resistors and capacitors worked. So being able to give over the information I know about chemistry and physics and help students who are either struggling or just want to get ahead is truly one of the most rewarding things I do. The problem that a lot of students have is that they think there is some kind of shortcut. That you could somehow bypass actually LEARNING the subject and still get an A in the class. I'm not gonna tell you that there is some magic wand I'll wave and you'll suddenly know all there is to know about chemistry and physics. But I do know that it is always possible and if you put the work in, you'll see the results. So if you're the kind of student who asks "why do I need to know this" then this might not be the program for you. But if you're serious about wanting to REALLY LEARN the material, so that you could apply it when you're a doctor, dentist, engineer or whatever you want to be, I'm your guy.
GROUP LESSONS
Classes are still one of the most affordable and efficient ways to keep up with your science course. Being a science tutor for years, I know which topics students typically have greater difficulty with and spend more time and energy on those. By going through questions and tests I give students a chance to practice their problem solving ability on their own, one the most important skills in any class or career. Even though though the classes are done in groups I try to keep each students learning experience personalized in order to make sure that each student is able to excel. So get your notebooks and get ready to crush some science!
ONE-ON-ONE LESSONS
If you're struggling with a specific topic, chapter, want to go over certain problems or just prefer a more individualized experience, one-on-one lessons are for you. You'll have your learning experience tailored to your needs and all your questions answered. This is an excellent form of learning for anyone who feels like they are either behind in the course or want to consistently be a step ahead.
ONLINE LESSONS
Online lessons are by far the most convenient way to receive an individualized learning experience. They're affordable and effective and nothing really beats learning chemistry or physics in pajamas. The lessons are done through Google Hangouts or Skype (Skype is preferred) so all that the student needs to participate is a Google or Skype account. The lessons can be done as a group or as a one-on-one lesson. Either way, students will have the chance to ask questions and participate just like a regular lesson and still be able to receive a top-notch learning experience.
